Winter weather...we've been warned..

So with this early prediction, and the fact that we have had several bad winters now, do we think the councils will finally pull their fingers out and, you know, actually be prepared this winter?
I'm not too bothered, my 2 are wintering out again and they have good rugs and lots of haylage!

Right, hopefully the councils will pull their fingers out of their bottoms and get their acts in gear this time, you'll be looking into getting pads for horse shoes, getting your winter tyres, your pipes lagged, your grit/salt, your sleds, snow shovels and shoe grippy things in advance ready for it, so NO BLOODY WHINGING when it does arrive please! :D

Enjoy the Autumn.:)

Actually that's a really good point, the councils ought to be more organised this year if the forecaster are warning us all this early. They can't get away with acting all suprised and saying they didn't know it was going to be minus 10 degress again..

By the way, what's bu99ery? Bunnery? Oh, hang on...oh....I SEE....durrrrr.

I take offence at that I do not indulge in Bu99ery. Its just not my thing.

;)

Oh good, you'll be getting our winter again:D
I don't mind, just as long as we don't get your flipping rainfall.

Very good point! Winter won't throw anything at us that we can't deal with if we are organised. I've been snapping up winter clothing on ebay this week in preparation. :D

Bunnery???what would that mean a house for rabbits? Why would i say "I do not indulge in housing for rabbits"?!!!:p (laughing alot out loud!!)

I can't wait, I'd have snow over mud any day :D

I have salt, rugs, straw, haylage, lighting all nice and ready. May need to get more haylage in though, which my bank balance will not approve of though :o Worth it though, snow means I can get the beast hitched up to a sledge this year too :D

I was in Spain at the weekend and they were playing Last Christmas in a bar on the beach. Then I was singing carols last night while hacking the pony (he was being a spooky devil). So all in I'm feeling in the spirit for Christmassyness and the weather to suit already :D
