After a huge row at my current yard about use of school for lessons ie having instructors from off the yard, and the field rides closed until the spring i made some enquires as to other yards in my area. I know the grass always looks greener but...

Current yard i am completly diy - potential new yard its 5 day full livery but you can still turn out, bring your own in when it suits.

C.Y you can turn out 24/7 for June and July. P.N.Y you can turn out from March till the weather changes.

C.Y I pay £3.50 a bale of hay and £2.50 for straw, P.N.Y its £10 per week ad lib hay and the straw is free.

C.y has an indoor, although you can rarley get in it and have to pay £1.00 for the lights - P.N.y has an outdoor completley free of charge and yes does have lights

c.y you have to pay £3.00 per week for your trailer , p.n.y its free

So whilst it will cost me more on face value ie for stable and grazing all the other bits that are cheaper and the fact i dont have to do all the chores in the week are making things look much more attractive a the P.N.Y

Advice please

If you can afford the new yard then I would go there if you are not happy where you are, it costs too much to keep horses if you are not enjoying yourself and having some of the work done for you will be a bonus

Go for new yard, life is too short.

I completely agree!!

Way too short not to be happy with things,
if there's a chance, take it!
That's if money's ok :')
Good luck in your choice x

Go!!!!! I was on a "cheap" yard before I moved to my current one - it was all the extras that added up, having to box out for a lesson in the winter really mounted up money wise, the turnout was crap at old yard so hay and bedding costs were double - I have saved a fortune since moving even though the livery is £75 a month "more" hope that makes sense!!
