wish I had some stables

for the last 9yrs of the 11yrs that I've had my mare, she's lived out 24/7

but right now I wish I could bring them all in! we don't have stables that we can use, just 2 rubbish ones that are only good for storage! and never thought i'd want to bring them in! but this weather is not good at all!!

Was thinking just now at the yard how glad I am that I have a stable, and it's in a barn, so no need to go out at all, unless to the muck heap. I really don't think i could manage without a stable now - the weather is just so wet !

oh you lucky mare! my two friends are going to move their horses in the new year so will leave just mine, so I think Im going to speak to the farm and tell him to clear them out and I will get my dad to fix them up, so I can use them on days like today!

For the first time since I had my boy he's in and thank goodness he loves coming in now even though my pasture is good its still very wet never known anything like it ! I couldn't do without my stable or wash down !

Yes same here. We moved to present yard in the summer and, although I don't have stables I have a huge barn with a gate to the field so I can shut them in at night and they still have space to run around if they want while staying dry. It's the first time I've had them in at night and wouldn't have done but for the weather. They much prefer to be out but I worry about mud fever if they don't get a chance to dry off.
