I used to love PC... we had a marvellous DC who really made it a lovely place to be, with minimal poltics being put up with, and everything centred around kids & ponies.. not NH, but veering towards it.

If wishes could be granted, what kind of things would you find in a NH pony camp? ie - one really understanding where the pony is coming from, & develop horsemanship & understanding. Call it just 'good horsemanship' if you like

Whips dont teach kids anything about horsemanship. Start of with the idea you're going to work with your pony, rather than hit him when he doesnt do what you want him to.

training sticks (nh type) are used differently, but I think kids dont need them either .. too many things to hold in little hands.

Sounds a bit dangerous to me. Good horsemen know when and how to use a whip...perhaps teaching reason and allowing the children to gain experience in a happy environment would be a better idea than telling them never to use a whip. What happens if an incident occurs on the road?
