Today I am going to attempt to ride my KWPN mare who hasnt been ridden for years I would estimate since late 2006? She went on to have a foal summer 07 and then was purchased by me Feb 2008, when I was about to give birth to twins! (hence no riding for me!) Sadly she didnt take when she went to stud last year (trying again this year) but I figured now is the time to hop on!
She seems to be fine with saddle, bridle etc and is fab on the lunge, I lent over her last week and we had a walk around so today is the day I will be going for it! She is a flighty type of mare and normally it wouldnt bother me but its amazing how your ideas change a little once you are a mum!
