Getting potential new pony vetted on Weds. First time I've ever had a horse vetted, so this could be interesting.

Not looking forward to the 6hr round trip again though :/

(not me riding - this was the instructor)

She is a little under-muscled at the moment, so the plan would be to do a lot of ground work/ lunging/ in hand work etc before sitting on again.

I'm a bit concerned though :( I had my instructor and a friend point out that she appeared to be intermittently off in trot, both on the lunge and under saddle in trot. So to be on the safe side I'm getting xrays done.

I'm hoping it is just her feet, which are a bit of a mess at the moment, and not something bony/tendon etc, as I would have to turn her down.

I'm not sure if she is 100% the right pony for me, but looking objectively, she ticks all of the right boxes. I really can't think emotionally, as I still automaticaly compare everything to Pinto, but our bond was over 7 years in the making.

Unfortunaterly I can't as I don't have transport of my own. I'm hoping to negotiate delivery as part of her purchase price.

The ad did say delivery possible, but I'm thinking her owner may not have envisaged a 3 hour trip!

If I can't get her delivered all the way, I can get a friend to come at the weekend, if I can organise a drop-off point half way. That would also give U a break from the twisty-turny mountain roads on the first half of the trip.
