...I now have to go and deal with 4 horses and 1 vet.
The horses need their vaccinations and their teeth done, in their field, in the heat.
Despite being forewarned, the vet on arrival, will have histrionics that said horses are not safely contained in a stable, and will become temperamental, and possibly even evade capture....trampling me on the way back to their car, whilst muttering words like 'feral' and 'mad horseowners'.

When I first read this bit I thought you meant the vet!

Good luck - I took 4 cats to vets on Saturday for microchip - was on half price offer

Molly and Amber in the basket - Dot on her harness (loves the car) and Fuzz Nuts on his harness, who normally goes along like a dog, but he decided to have one of his moments, so I was in full motorbike leathers and gloves with a huge towel contain a huge black monster with teeth and claws in full on attack mode.

Luckily he calmed down and reverted to teddy bear mode before he went into the vet herself - he can be one savage git when he looses it.

Hope your lot are better behaved than Mr Fuzz was.

Bet you wish you had nice cobs now

Ester, I did mean the vet!

I can report that once I had caught the vet and bundled them into my car, driven the '6 miles' (:p naughty Zalacca) to my field, the vet was relieved when I shouted to them, and they shouted back and came running.

He wasn't quite so keen when my grey started to go through the contents of his teeth tools, or his vaccination tray though with a view to nicking them.

They were all good, though - and my ex colic surgery one managed to have her teeth done without any sedation, which is very brave for her as she can still be a bit anxious.

I have to grudgingly admit the vet was very good with them too, and didn't really try to leg it once.

A twitch works wonders for that little problem, should it ever occur!

where do you twitch a vet?

[/ QUOTE ] I would think in the groin area would give an effective means of control!
