We are being homechecked on Wednesday for a potential new rescue whippet

BTW does anyone have any experience of this rescue? I believe they have only recently set up http://scrupleswhippetrescue.blogspot.com/ but i like the fact that all dogs go into foster care rather than kennels. I think it means you can get a much better idea of a dog's true nature

Dammit! I was being dead subtle and everything...

He was such a poppet...ended up with his nose firmly in my ear (I was sitting down!) as he wanted his chest and belly scratched. I'm going to have to look at more piccys of Harvey, Henry, St Sweep and Otto now to re-affirm my spangle love!

Thanks guys, it worked! The homechecker thinks we can offer a fantastic home to a whippet (her words) and the report she brought with her from Dash's foster mum sounds like he is a bit rough around the edges but basically just what we are looking for

Thanks! I'm just waiting for a call from his foster mum to arrange a meeting. Apparently, if all is well then we can take him home the same day

Better go and shop for a bed, bowl, collar, lead, coats and tons of toys.......... (maybe i'm getting ahead of myself - if I do that and it doesn't work out I will then have to find a whippet exactly the same size as Dash )
