Been having saddle issues with my horse for a while now and have been trying different pads and shims under the advice of saddle fitter and instructor. He changes shape frequently and hard to keep weight off. Since had saddle fitted he has had his hocks medicated and now works more over back and so his back had built up nicely hence saddle no longer fitting. Saddle fitter is coming out again with some different saddles to try on his new shape.
Had the Physio out today as felt he was getting tight in his back, which he gets sometimes due to conformation and the way he moves behinds (plaits in trot).
Feel so bad now as he was very very sore poor lad. Physio thinks partly due to saddle and partly due to fact that he a lot stiffer on right hock and is twisting to compensate. When she released his back he was a lot lamer on the back hind :( think he may need some more injections sooner rather than later. Has been almost a year since last ones which worked really well.
He is now to go on bute to see if that helps until vet sees him and decides on a plan of action.
Wish he could have told me sooner bless him. Apart from some stiffness at beginning of rides etc he has shown no signs of how bad he was :(
Did dressage at weekend and scored 60 and 63% and have been scrutinising the videos since to see if I have missed anything.
Vibes for my gorgeous boy please x

Well hopefully he will be feeling better after the physio and it can take a few days for them to feel better if they've not been right for a while.
He's a good age so he's bound to feel it occasionally. I hope you get him sorted out soon...:)

Oh how I second that wish, I also wish horses weren't so ready not to show pain, our lad seriously injured his back leg on ice in the field and just stood there apparently dozing, people and dogs would have been screaming blue murder with the pain he must have been in. I am just thankful we can see the fields from the house and it wasn't long before we noticed and it was our other horse's behaviour that alerted us.
You have to love them, RIP Ozz
