Goodness they are all very good at striking a pose!

The times I have met Wish upon a star he is a total pro at striking a pose!!!!!!!

Thanks for all your nice comments - they are a lovely bunch although I could do with some colts ...... the black mare has had 4 fillies in a row! The only colt of this year's 5 foals is the extrordinarily marked one by Free Spirit (Link to pics posted earlier). My partner worries that when I breed fillies they end up joining the mare band when predictably he thinks ALL should be sold every year.

Someone came and bought a 2 yr old early in the summer - I went to make them coffee and when I returned he was offering BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! Fortunately the purchaser thought he was joking...I knew he wasn't!!!

Lovely! I have no eye for what makes a good foal, but I would love a horse by WUAS - he is my favourite stallion on the circuit and the only horse I have ever seen who has made me wish I had a mare to breed from.

As an aside, does anyone know if he is aimed at Le Lion? He must have a good chance of one of the GB spots given that he has won two 1*s this year (amazing results!).

Went on the website - v smart he looks to have just the same fab jump as WUAS, funny as Gribaldi is so reknowned for breeding dressage horses he obviously throws horses that make that spectacular shape. I see he is licensed with AES, who is he graded with? So many societies - it gets quite confusing for mare owners!

LOL! I am not surprised to find Spottedcat in this thread,
tongue.gif
as she was telling me how stunning he was when I was talking about future stallions for Be... I think he may well be on the list - those foals, and him, are absolutely stunning!

What stunning babies!!!! I am in LOVE with the black!

You have the opposite problem to us though....all we can seem to breed are colts and are now desperate for a filly!

lovely pictures- i am totally in love with the black foal 3 pictures from the top!

he is one of my fave eventing stallions around at the moment and i think he would cross beautifully onto my tb mare.

It's not just that he is stunning - he has an amazing attitude and temperament too. I've seen him quite a few times this season as I seem to be in the same places as his rider a lot, and I saw him get rather missed to a SJ in a Novice, and not only did he leave it up when he had every excuse to boot it out or stop, but it did not phase him in the slightest and he left up the next fence (which was on an awkward related distance) too. I then saw him tied to the lorry, next to several other horses, just having a snooze in the sun whilst he was admired by his connections (I wa sparked next row back in the lorry park so saw him a lot that day).

He came out of the start box like a rocket and took a real flier to the first, and is bold and accurate XC - some stallions can be a bit, how can I put it, precious
wink.gif
but I saw none of that from him.

I know he is as yet unproven as none of his stock are doing anything, but for me the lower stud fee would be worth the gamble...

Fortunately I do not own a mare or in fact know anything about breeding and foals, so my OH can rest easy that I am not about to start a collection!!
grin.gif
If there was a 3yo at the right price though, I'd have it in a shot.

LOL! I tell you what SpottedCat, if I breed from him, and get a colt, I shall give you first refusal, as I am trying to tell myself I am only going to let myself keep fillies that Be has

I know, so many breed societies! Adonnis' owner is GAN1 on the forum so she can probably tell you better than I can but I think he is KWPN foalbook bred, imported as an unbacked 3 year old in early 08 and presented for grading with the AES end of last year where he was graded - think he was Licensed straight away (as opposed to Registered) so didn't have to represent.

Has WUAS done any dressage or is he purely eventing? Also do you have any confo shots of him? Out of interest do you know the different colour likelihoods that he throws when coupled with certain colour mares? Surprised not to see a chestnut foal in the pics.

Excellent, as I only have geldings after my mare experience! It's a deal.

I have to say, that if I were to aim to breed another eventer out of my mare (that is if I were going to breed from her again, full stop LOL), then this chap would most certainly be on the list! I value SC's opinion and valuation of a horse and aside from that, he looks fantastic and these foals are beautiful!

Re colour.......well i was surprised not to get any ginger ones but to my knowledge he has only bred one ches foal to date. He seems to follow the dam's colour to the letter. Last year the stud had a coloured foal by him and it was even marked the same as the mare. that said if you have a ches mare there is only one colour you are going to get!

I still cannot get pictures to post but have put one on the link with his foals. I took the pic when watching him at this year's SHB Grading where he was Champion - not the best pic but shows his limbs etc. Hope this helps. Vicki can you put this pic on - my PC will not play at all -probably operator error! Thanks x

When I spoke to his owner when I went to visit him she said that most of his babies had their mothers colour (which im hopeing for loads as my mare is almost black) I thought the owner may of said this as chestnut isnt the nicest colour but those pics do seem to match the mares colour. As did some pics that I found on the internet.

I dont mind chestnut so will await for my orange filly next year lol

Funny isn't it I do not like bay much and would have rather my bay filly had been chesnut-perhaps it is no win if you are a stallion owner! I have to say I have not recovered from the colour of my other Grafham foal - by FREE SPIRIT

To the OP; really really stunning foals!!

Beautiful foals - I don't know anything about judging a foal's conformation but I think they all look stunning. We are waiting for a Jigilo foal from our coloured mare, due next June. Very excited. We had thought about Free Spirit, but thought we'd prefer something all one colour - much easier to turn out for shows!

Nope! I promise you he is that colour-no photoshopping involoved .... Come on Vickijay that is far too technical for me. Perhaps you could put his pics on - I am keen to know if any other breeders have had such strange results and if I repeat the mating the chances of such odd markings again!

I was very shocked although not as much as the other foals who would not go near him for ages! Funny thing is now he is my favourite personality wise
