withdrawal symptoms already

I posted before about moving to Spain and looking for a loan pony...

Well here I am and its been a couple of weeks and not even a sight of a four-hooved beastie!

I'm suffering, I really am. I moved to inbred-ville in the Navarra region and have failed to find a single yard or even trekking centre thats accessable without a car. Am busy attempting to befriend any farmer that comes to town about renting land.

I'm teaching in a school out here and have spoken to the pupils and some adults about wanting to ride a horse and all I get back is a blank look and "Que?"

*sigh* I spent weeks learning spanish riding terms as well.

How am I going to cope for a year with my riding hat sat next to my computer mocking me?

I moved abroad a couple of weeks ago as well, brought all my riding stuff with me, have already had my first lesson. So I'm getting a horsy fix in some way.. although I do have to bike there because it is definitely not in walking distance!
