I've not ridden now for 5 1/2 weeks and it's killing me. Not only is my big fella unsound and out of action, I can't find anything suitable to even go and 'try' in view of buying...

So I'm sat here, with money burning a hole in my pocket and no horsey to ride and glorious sunshine... what's the betting my new ponio finally turns up in the middle of November when I'm knee deep in mud with a flooded menage???

* Be a mentor to someone young and keen / old and nervous!
* Take up western riding. Or vaulting
* Go out and socialize with non-horsey friends

Mind you, I'm **** with horse withdrawal so don't listen to a word I say!

I am feeling your pain!!! My money is for my own horse, so i'm reluctent to pay london prices for lessons, so haven't ridden since uni!!! I do a VERY non horsey job and so the withdrawl is hitting me something rotton. So I have no advice just a sympathetic shoulder :-)

I haven't ridden since 27th March :( My mare came down with laminitis, cross fingers and everything else she is now on the road to recovery.
