Wither pad for surcingle?

Can you still get these? You know, the things we all used donkey's years ago - to thread our rug surcingles through to keep it off the spine?

I saw some old fashioned rollers on ebay recently. You could try a prolite wither pad.

Or... following the prolite suggestion...what about a prolite girth sleeve, which has loops to keep it in place...

Hmmm not quite what I was after (but I am thinking back 25 years ago, now!). If it will do the same job I'm happy to 'go modern' with the Polypad product. Many thanks for the links everyone

Oh that anti-cast roller brings back memories

. We didn't use them for lunging though...

I used a thick 'furry' numnah under the usual roller today for lunging: it seemed to work well, with was less pressure on the spine
