Wither swelling.

I think pony has got an injury to her wither. I believe it might be from another pony grabbing her (as he’s done before) or it she could be bruised from rolling on something. There’s a bit of swelling (she normally has pony wither but it just looks rounder) both sides but it’s painful to touch. There’s no wound. Has anyone had similar? How long did it take for the bruising to subside?

My ponies are pretty amazing the way they always manage to get ill/injured on bank holidays

I'd put money on the other pony. If he gets a muzzle it's his own fault.

Rug rubs? Is she rugged? This time of year when the weathers variable if they get a bit warm under their rug it could be quite sore. I saw a similar thing in a polo pony at work

Yes she’s rugged. It would be good if it’s just that, but it does seem awfully painful.
