no-one seems to be mentioning Clayton and Ben winning at lexington...... how fantastic is that? brilliant i hope he wins badminton as well.
and withington was most interesting. thank god for a proper advancd course! going was as good as they could manage, comptition excitng altogether good day out. jonty evans is fine if anyone saw him being carted off to hospital by the way.
Also like to have on public record that i think Chris King has done fanstic job with the secret weapon. Cosidering a year ago it was rufusing point blank at the 5th fence at tweaseldown CCI** it has been placed at Adv twice noe and as i said yesterday was a proper test.

Yes well done to Clayton, though there were better xc rounds, he went out and got the job done! Ben tried his heart out in the sj.

The Withington results are interesting, must have been an impressive track as many had problems. So we like Chris now then?

Everyone has been congratulating Clayton in Latest News BTW.

Clayton is going to have to beat the Missus at badminton though.

The advanced was a decent track. I w/d as my horse before XC as she didn't need a run, but it was fun watching! Chris King did well, although Blacker Cat is looking very strong with him, he did well to anchor her but she makes up too much distance in the tricky angled brushes at the one before the last and glanced off.

Congrats to Clayton - fantastic result for him and very well deserved - that horse is lovely. Clayton and Lucinda are clearing up between them at 4star level based on last 2 results for them. Be fab if their luck continues to Badminton - what a result if one of them could pull off a win at Badminton!!

Re Headley Britannia did anyone read William Fox-Pitt's column in current issue of H&H? Was quite surprised to read that Badminton may be Brit's last event as she may be retired after that! Anyone know anymore on this?

However it is not a question of like or dislike it is one of admiring job well done considering who the casualties were on a tough course.
and i have no idea which grey staalion he is riding, didnt know he had one and actually dont care and as for the black mare, it certainly wasnt fighting for its head when i saw it, jumped the corner combination as nice as you like and most likely by the time it got to the eye lashes had haed enough of being hung onto. for a comparision of how slowly he was going on it, michael diamantides fell oof on the flat two fences before the water, caught the horse rmounted and jumped the rest with a broken collar bone and got about 38 time. and horse is not supper quick either. CK got 50. And it was allegedly wearing the bit lent from previuos rider.
so i think its fair to say am not president of any fan club nor his best friend either.

Never said it was fighting for its head....

just that it was keen! and agree with you looked fab at the corners! and agree with you again with why she ran out at the brush! The mare was strong with Bill, but she really looked ultra strong with CK!

was only asking about stallion as saw it at Hambleden and it looked lovely? always interested in stallions for our mare?

i was there but if he rode a grey of any sort its a new one and didnt actually compete must have been there just for an outing. i suspect you might find the grey stallion was actually being ridden by francis whittington he has one it was there and was being much admired. called carus royalle or something x
