Have had my horse for 6 months, he is a 5yo trakkhener cross... he has been lame in 3 different legs, his back has been out, his skin has been awful with flies, he had a bean removed from his w1lly (but had to be totally knocked out to get it sorted), he has just had a wolf tooth removed and lots of corrective dental work..... (he passed a 5 stage vetting with nothing other than a minor windgall!!! None of his problems could have been spotted in advance...)

To make things worse, he is now being totally stressy cos he is feeling better, but is still meant to be resting and the vet cocked up, so I cant get him any sedatives till tomorrow...

Really hoping things will start getting better whn he comes back into work in a couple of weeks (everything crossed!!!!)... its so frustrating at the moment!!

Anyone else had horses like this? Do any of them grow out of it????

when joey was 5 it was like the whole year was problem after problem! i'm sure it will all be fine in the end, there is light at the end of the tunnel!

every thing tends to go wrong at once grit youre teeth, keep your head down and it will pass. i had a time like this my horse who,d had colic surgery, a stomach full of staples jumped the fence first day out on small paddock rest and totally sressed me out but was fine and recovered. my current horse had suspensory ligament surgery on both hinds and removed the back wall of her stable with them on box rest again horrendous. send you lots of positive thoughts it will get better.
