Not sure if this is allowed or not so will see if I get a reprimand.
I am doing the Wobbleberry Challenge, to ride a BE 80 by this time next year. My fundraising goal is £2000.
One of my ideas to raise money is to offer myself and Izzy out as sensible escorts for endurance rides, fun rides, beach rides, picnic rides or hacks up on the South Downs. I am asking for a donation to my Wobbleberry Challenge Just giving page for the service.
I already have quite a few bookings. One lady is meeting me for hacks with her green youngsters as she has no one to hack out with from home. A couple of people want me to ride with them on their first endurance rides. Another lady wants a sensible escort for her first beach ride. One person wants to go out and try cantering in open space for the first time.
Izzy is an 18 year old cob and is very good on escort duty. We can do all gates and hold open for people, we can go as fast or slow as people need, he will go in front, behind or next to, will stop on a 'whoa' in gallop, will help calm a very excited/worried horse, herd cows if needed, go past anything (though he isn't fond of steam trains).
He does like to stop and wee if he spots any tasty clover or grass and will quite often like to say hello to cows.
I can offer references if people want to check out escort ability.
So if you are in the Southeast and want to build your confidence hacking or just want an escort to find some lovely gallopy places on the Downs, give me a shout.
