Have been bring on my 4yo slowly and over past 2 wks have been working on lateral movements which my mare has at times has got frustrated with as just a baby.
So today she was working wonderfully off my leg and really using her back end - we were leg yielding from inside out and from outside in , leg yielding across half the arena and got a few nice strides of quarters in.
She has a huge uphill canter and its tough to keep her going at times, today really reinforced my leg with schooling whip and bingo with a hop, skip and a couple of excited bucks she was working cantering on in a lovely rhythm!
Every wk we seem to be going from strength - lots of hard work, determination and focus are paying off and fingers crossed we will go on to do big things over the next few years - in no hurry though doing everything at her pace. . Lots of trebour mints followed by 6hrs turnout with her mates this afternoon:)

Canon lumix on way for next wk! No point taking pics on blackberry as photo quality crap indoors ! Will get pics next wk when camera and fur and feather meds matchy matchy set arrives:)
