I know that you aren't all infatuated with wolves as I am but if anyone could spare a minute to write an email I for one would appreciate it!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsearqknaE8

The video link, above, is in the Mus, a city of East Turkey. The people involved have chained a wolf from the leg and making the dogs bite and kill him. It is a long and painful video. The wolf is crying for help from another almost dead one and the people are applauding, enjoying the criminal act.

IF YOU ARE IN UK PLEASE WRITE TO THE TURKISH AMBASSADOR TO LONDON AND BRING THIS TO HIS ATTENTION. PLEASE FORWARD THE LINK IN THE MAIL. ASK THAT THIS BARBARITY BE INVESTIGATED AND STRESS WHAT IT DOES TO THE IMAGE AND REPUTATION OF TURKEY ETC.

REMEMBER THAT TURKEY IS LOBBYING STRONGLY TO JOIN THE EUROPEAN UNION AND IS ALWAYS KEEN TO PROMOTE ITSELF AS A TOURIST DESTINATION.

Right ok. Yet another disgusting bit of evidence of how cruel and sub human some people are.

Cowards. Tying him up like that. The kind of people who condone and or engage in this are nothing better then cavemen and are beneath my contempt. Humans are awful in the fact that a lot of us cannot see beauty in something that isn't cowed by us.

Ugh I cant think straight. Hateful people.

I couldnt watch it, but Ive just sent an email to the Turkish Ambassador.

I hate humans for what they do to animals around the world. I am a member of PETA and the various video clips they show are horrendous. I had to stop watching them (well my OH stopped me)because I was feeling suicidal because I couldnt deal with the pain of knowing animals were being tortured every second of my day and I couldnt do anything about it.

Just keep spreading the word thats all we can do.

Thankyou for passing this shocking link on. I will be sending an email and will also post this link to other forums and people that I know via email.
The video was appalling. It reminded me of one a few years back that involved a fox. Now I am not against fox hunting and must say this now on this post so you don't think me having double standards if you ever see me post on hunting threads.
The difference was when fox hunting was legal was that foxes were chased whilst being free to roam and most escaped (didn't agree with digging out though).
The reason I am making a connection between the two is that I saw a programme that was about badger baiting. It was dire and the people that were involved were cowards very much like in the video shown. They caught a fox whilst out looking for badgers so they tied the fox by one of its legs ( cannot remember now if it was even broken) and set the dogs on it to kill it. Sheer bloody cruelty. The fox had no chance. In the same that the wolf in the video didn't either. What shocked me also was the handlers attitude to the dogs. I don't have sound on my pc but I could see at least one dog getting a beating or whipping of some sort in the background. To be honest the dogs didn't look like they wanted to attack the wolf in most cases as they were being taunted and goaded into doing it by the men.
Fckn barstewards is all I can say about such low life scum as that.
To torture an animal to death like that is pure evil in my eyes.
How I would love to have one of them men naked smeared in blood and dipped into shark invested waters for them to have a 'play' with. I wonder how long a human would last for. Longer than 4 minutes that is for sure if I had my way. Evil scum!

Well if you look at the wolfs body posture that was one wolf that wasn't game for a fight, I dont know a lot about wolves but you could see its tail between its legs which isnt that sign when it comes to dogs?

Fact of the matter is humans like that have cruelty in their veins, its NOT a matter of re-education its a matter of the fact they are vile humans. And I 100% believe that. You wont stop what those humans are doing, their cruelty with either go on behind closed doors, or it will be transferred onto another being.

There's two bits of footage which are burned into the back of my mind: footage from Huntingdon Life Sciences and now this. I am sickenned to say watching them left me feeling murderous and I did wonder if I was just a debase as the perpertrators themselves...

I'm pro too, the difference being, hunting is not mental and physical torture! This is baiting the animal and the people clearly have no interest in killing the wolf quickly and humanely!

I have emailed them and posted on IH website, also sent to my friends with email they can just copy and paste. Its sickening
Quote
"Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this world... We cannot have peace among men whose hearts delight in killing any living creature. By every act that glorifies or even tolerates such moronic delight in killing we set back the progress of humanity."

As many of us are aware, Turkey are candidates to join the European Union. In order to join the European Union, a state needs to fulfil the economic and political conditions which require a stable democratic government which respects the rule of law, and its corresponding freedoms and institutions. Turkey's record on human rights issues remains a real stumbling block for their integration in the Union.

Bearing this in mind we should not be in any way suprised that this kind of terrible animal abuse still goes on. And of course we must remember it's not just wolfs that are involved, but other animals such as bears.

As well as contacting the Turkish Ambassador, MEP Glenys Kinnock would also be a useful person to Lobby.

If Turkey are indeed serious about joining the European Union (which becomes ever unlikely as most of Europe falls in to deep recession) it really must clean up its act.

Get writing folks.

JESUS CHRIST !!!
I wish i hadn't watched
i felt bloody sorry for all involved but especially the wolf I imagine if the dogs hadn't been doing what they were doing they'd been beaten too. I can only imagine what was going through the wolfs mind ( did he see the other one killed ? -- it doesnt bear thinking about)
i watched all of it the wolf not only didn't look up for fighting it looked bloody knackered i almost wanted the dogs to end his misery asap.
would've been a whole lot better if the rope had snapped and he managed to kill one of the men.
aaaaarrrhhh it makes me mad.
RIP Wolfie.

p.s. the link wont work for me so can someone send two emails one for me.

Thanks for posting this tragic video and info. on this site. There are petitions on GoPetition and Care2 sites for punishment of these monsters. I can never forget, even throughout the day and night, the horror, terror and pain this beautiful creature suffered at the hands of these filthy excuses for human beings. We need to keep writing and demanding punishment. There will be no justice on this earth - only our sorrow and mourning over a magnificent animal, who clearly didn't want to fight, or was unable to fight for his/her life. Turkish TV aired it the other day: http://www.iha.com.tr/haber/guncel/55864-H-11/Vahsete-kahkaha!

I didn't watch but have written. Wolves are not at all as portrayed in popular press. They are wonderful parents and have a fantastic social network.

One of the ex- 007's is a great enthusiast who made a superb documentary on the life of the wolf.

God I wish I hadnt watched that. There was no way that that poor creature was up for a fight.............tail between his legs, cowering, submissive. We are a disgrace as a human race to allow this. I will act on this.
