How much dies your vet charge to take out wolf teeth and a general rasp, mines quoted me £230 but if I remember the last time I had it done it was £140.

I Had the dentist out to do mine in July and she charged £100 which included removing some caps too - 5 in total and 'general rasp'. then paid for vet to come out and sedate which was about £50 if I remember... Yours sounds extortionate!!

hers were very complicated and she had to go into horsepital for them to be removed but i kinda said that he already had enough money out of me this year and the only reason taz always has something wrong with him is because he obviously loves him (vet has a soft spot for him) i have only been with him 7 months and he has seen to him 5 times so i think taz loves the vet so i asked if he could possibly do me a deal :) haha im so cheeky but my vet is very nice - and hes hot, and hes irish.... *shhusshhh*

I paid £45 to the dentist for removal of wolf teeth and a couple of caps and £52 to the vet for sedation. I shared both with my friend who had her youngster done at the same time so it was £104 for the vet and £90 for the dentist for 2 3yo geldings.

I just received my bill for having wolf teeth out last month. Horse needed extra sedation and the job took over an hour to complete as the teeth were extra-ordinarily large with deep hooked roots. The vet took the largest away as an exceptional 'specimen' for his collection. £109.00.

My vet removed them when he was rasping anyway, and it didn't appear on the bill as an extra. In total for jabs, rasp under sedation and wolf teeth out it was about £100. That included call out too.

2 horses, horse 1 remove 1 x unerrupted wolf tooth. Horse 2 remove 2 wolf teeth and rasp both horses. £140.00

Vet call out and sedate the two horses £180.00 robbing B*******s.

Mine had is taken out on a general visit from the equine dentist. So 70 euros. He didn't need to be sedated, each tooth took 20 mins but he didn't flinch.

You'd need a vet call out, travel and sedation - so it sort of depends on how far your vet has to travel and if you share the visit. I'd estimate £60-100 for that plus an additional £50-60 for the actual basic removal, depending on if you use vet or a dentist. I'd expect to get the entire procedure complete for around £150, it really doesn't take long!

£25 my dentist did it no sedation as they were really loose and his first rasp and bit seat all included and he didnt flinch.x:D:D
