I have a mare whose wolf teeth were removed in winter 2012, they were small, I got given them to keep but no idea what I did with them.. Anyway! I let her old owner know as I like to update and her old owner said she had to get them removed twice when she had her (she had 3 years I think).
Of course I thought this was the norm and contacted a dentist in summer time of 2014 saying my ponies wolf teeth had probably grown back and asking when she could come out and check over/remove wolf teeth if they'd grown big enough to be causing harm.

The dentist was confused and told me horses only get wolf teeth once and after they are removed they don't come back..

My pony is 12 now, her breeder seems like she cares a lot about her and spent a lot of time with her so I assume she'd have had her teeth done, her 2nd owner had them removed twice and I've had them removed once so why are they growing back if the dentist told me that they don't?
When I had them removed I got told they were very sharp or very big and that's why I asked the old owner if she'd had issues with them and she told me yes, they grow back very quick and had to be removed twice.

Sorry but I'm confused and thought someone could help me out!
