Wolf Teeth question (also in NL)

My mare is 7, and today when taking her bridle off I noticed that behind her lower front teeth, she has a very red bit of gum on both sides, she just about let me touch it and it feels sharp underneith, after going a bit of reasearch it looks like she might have blind wolf teeth anyone have any other ideas, or experiences???? Bloody horse

How far back is it from the front teeth? Some mares get canine teeth and hers could be unerupted. They usually appear just back front the front teeth. If it is further back where the bit lays or towards the molar teeth then it could be a wolf tooth.

Do u have pics?
 
Well I am not sure exactly what you mean? Our yearling had his wolf teeth pulled and they were fairly far back, but we could reach to see where the new teeth were coming in.

Like on this picture, going from lips back into the mouth - you have incisors, a gap to canine teeth then a bigger gap where the bit sits, then wolf teeth and molars. Wolf teeth are classed as the first premolar and r usually found next to the molar teeth. With care, U can feel the first few premolars without a gag, but I wouldnt recommend trying.
