My mare is 7, and today when taking her bridle off I noticed that behind her lower front teeth, she has a very red bit of gum on both sides, she just about let me touch it and it feels sharp underneith, after going a bit of reasearch it looks like she might have blind wolf teeth anyone have any other ideas, or experiences???? Bloody horse

How far back is it from the front teeth? Some mares get canine teeth and hers could be unerupted. They usually appear just back front the front teeth. If it is further back where the bit lays or towards the molar teeth then it could be a wolf tooth.

Do u have pics?

If it is in the space just behind the insicor teeth (the ones at the very front of the mouth) then it is not a wolf tooth. It could be a canine tooth coming through. If it is lying immediately in front of the premolars (the first set of back teeth) then it is highly likely it is a wolf teeth.
