Wolf teeth removal recovery

So I've got my lad booked in to get his wolf teeth removed next week following advice from my ED. I'll speak to my vet about these questions next week but would be interested to hear people's thoughts and experiences.

What is the general time to recover?
The vet is coming for 3:30pm - is it best to leave him in that night or turn him back out?

I don't think my gelding particularly noticed when his wolf teeth were removed (he is very stoic though). As soon as he was awake from the sedation he went back out with the girls and was completely normal and grazed happily. One tooth had been a pig to remove too.

My youngster had his removed the other month, given a week in the field and then he carried on with the backing process. Was absolutely fine.

Robin had his out and went back to normal after sedation wore off. However 2 weeks later it hasn’t healed. So he had a bit more time off. Vet took a look 2 weeks after that and it had healed. But we have since discovered he heals incredibly slowly.

I had mine done when he was only 3 so not working. I recall they said at least 2 weeks with no bit.
Whether you turn him out will depend on the sedation and how quickly it wears off. When mine was gelded they had to top up the sedation twice because he kept trying to hide one of his jewels!! so he needed a long time to recover from that.
A 3.30 pm appointment unless it's super easy I'd be inclined to keep in, easier to keep an eye and check him at 9pm that trudge around a dark muddy field looking for him.

I'm currently sat here waiting for the vet to arrive to take my girls wolf teeth out prior to her going for backing in a few weeks. having had a wisdom tooth removed myself a couple of weeks ago I'm not looking forward to witnessing it!!!!
