Can someone give me any info on them, dont know much about them apart from they are at the back of the mouth!!

My horse is really unhappy in his mouth at the moment dentist coming on monday but he is 6 owned him since he was 4.5 yrs old and never had anything wrong before so wonder if they are coming through
 
they are small teeth that as you said are at the back of the mouth,, they can go unnoticed and trouble free for years/forever, and sometimes they cause all kinds of problems, RE: bitting, contact ect, all my young horses (if they have them) have them taken out before bitting, the vet just sedates and whips em out,(all must be taken out no debris left behind) If you put your hand in the mouth (horse obliging ofcourse) in front of the molars you will be able to feel if your horse has wolf teeth!
 
Thanks to both of you. I am at my wits end and it may be these have started reacting but I touch the reins and he just throws his head up and has a reall tantrum and tries to bolt off and gets worse if I try to pick the reins up from a loose rein. Will have a good feel tonight to see if there is anything there

Not at the back of the mouth, they are vestigal (functionless teeth) that sit in front of the first premolar. If you are heavy handed when riding the bit can bash on them which is painful to the horse (liken it to a splinter under your nail; doesnt hurt unless it is prodded). They are functionless this tooth used to be a proper tooth but has been evolved out.
 
my TB mare has started to shake her head in the stable but doesnt do it under saddle! could this be a sign for wolf teeth shes had her teeth checked once about 6 months ago, could a wolf teeth have grown back? shes 5 now and has been teething before? or could it be bordem because shes in 24/7 now?!?!
