Wolf teeth

I have always had my horses wolf teeth removed in their pre-breaking dental visit but I am wondering if this is actually necessary? I have also bought ridden horses that still have their wolf teeth but have caused problems and were therefore removed. So my question is- Is it necessary to remove horses wolf teeth before they begin the breaking process or wait to see if it causes problems?

I have just had the wolf teeth taken out of my youngster as he was at the vets for gelding. He will be broken for driving later this year.

My vet said it's only a problem if they interfere with the bit, so depends on the shape of the mouth and dentition. I have never had them taken out, and vets/dentists have never recommended it for mine.

I would have them taken out if the vet/dentist recommended it - they did for my youngster so they recently came out prior to backing.
