Hey everyone,
I rode my chap this morning and one thing I have noticed he seems to do quite a bit is play with his bit....not only does he play with it but its like he is excepting the bit and lowers his head but at the same time his head is tilting from left to right....
when I first got him he did have soars in his mouth from where his last owners unfortunately used a rusty bit so he is quite soft with his mouth...
I am never harsh and due to him being a quarter horse he is used to have loser reins then a normal horse....I noticed today he seemed to either be excepting the bit more or having more problems...? I dont think my riding has improved that much that he is now walking, trotting and cantering like a dressage horse...!!
Just wondering if anyone has had the same problems.....I had his teeth checked about 8 months ago and all was fine..he is now 5.

same age as my boy, and does the same thing. I'd get the dentist out again just in case, thats what I'm doing. Better to be able to rule something out than wonder whats up

my 5yo just had a wolf tooth removed... it had become wobbly (he is off work though, so I cant say whether it effected his way of going!! He was eating fine etc)... definatley worth a check up!
