I thought i'd made my mind up to which stallion i would put my mare too and i he just caught my eye on a website. His foals are due 2010 so not proven yet but any thoughts about him. He is light and looks to have a superb canter which is my main 'want'.

To be honest i am hoping to breed an eventer but i think he he has huge potential.

I was going to put her to Ganton Beltaine but thought i would get some info on Wolkenderry first, not sure if they would allow him to go to a very nice lightweight Welsh D mare!

Penddolfawr Hannah is proven show pony 14.2hh the best bloodlines (nebo/derwen) has won at the royal welsh show, has done all RC everything, loved and excelled xc,vvv brave and has a huuuge jump!!! Would of easily BSJA'd but sadly had an injury at 5yrs old so can only lightly compete now, superb temp a real one in a million girl. Her only negative is her canter isn't as nice as i'd like.
I'm hoping to produce a 15.1+ light framed foal for myself to keep forever,as she is a v special pony in many ways her husband has to be equally as good as her,oh and posh!!!

This is she, pics not great but only ones on this comp, they are her at 4 yrs old:

So what do you guys think??

He will be at Expo - I am looking forward to seeing him there.

Also the owner Jacke is lovely, friendly and a normal down to earth horse owner! I do believe she has a Section D in foal to him as well...?

She will be happy to talk to you, there is more info/pictures on the Horse breeders forum.

I have a half sister to Beltaine (same dam) in foal to my Welsh D stallion, due end of March. It might be worth looking at what that produces before you make up your mind. I agree with you about Wolkenderry though, very pretty boy, but I'm aiming to use only british breeds, specifically Welsh D cross TBs. Checkout some of my partbreds on youtube under cundlegreen, you can see how they move.

thats partly why i chose beltaine as he is a english tb. Pref wanted a TB as ideal x to event with. Just not sure if the outcome would be light enough and dressage isnt my mares strongest thing so Wolkenderry would be good for that. I will def watch out for your foalie, is your mare the same build as beltaine? what are you hoping to do with the foal? Will def help me if i see your foal. Good Luck for march. Will hopefully put her in foal this year if i can pull her away from my friend who rides her!

Blue Circle Boy is Sec D cross Hanno and I've known a few others of this cross and they've all been fab! IMO this cross is slightly more trainable/ridable than the some of the straight Welsh/TB crosses and Wolkenderry does appear to be a lovely elegant framed individual and just on pics alone, you'd think it would be a great cross!

thats v kind of you to reply,i am v impressed with him, totally caught my eye. When are his first foals due? Will go off and look at his stud card etc now. The pictures are stunning!!!! Thanks everyone for you replies.

Bear in mind that your mare will greatly influence the size of your foal. One of the main reasons that we produce our Welsh part breds by using a Sec D stallion on the TB mare is that the mare will produce a larger, quality type foal but with the intelligence and pony charecteristics of the Welsh.

Part breds out of Welsh mares sometimes have the tendancy to retain a cob like appearance and lack height . That said it all depends on what you want to breed.

One of our owners is thinking of using Wolkenderry on her p-b mare next year.
