I lent my clippers to another livery last weekend and they dropped them when using them when their horse jumped. Result is several teeth are broken from the blades and a big chunk has sheared off one corner. Anyone know if it's possible to singly purchase the large part of the blade set (as the smaller section is fine)?

Either way, where's the cheapest place to buy clipper blades online?

OR would it be better to wait a month or two until the clipping season is over? Do blades get cheaper out of season or stay the same year round? Luckily I don't need to clip again this winter so can wait if it's sensible to do so.

Clipper blades are certainly not cheap, and you have to buy them in pairs you cant just by the cutter or comb seperate. I dont know about Wolsey blades but last year I bought some Lister blades and they were £40, so Wolsey will be there abouts. I would jolly well make the people buy you a new set, this is the sole reason I NEVER lend my clippers out.
And blades dont get cheaper in the summer, as competition people still clip in the summer.
Try HCS Clipping and Shearing or Clippersharp, these will be the most competetivley priced, they both have web sites.
Good Luck

liveryman A2 blades will fit wolseley clippers ,i think you will find they are much cheaper than wolseley ...i bought two new sets last week and paid abt £32 a set for them

ooh thats interesting, at my nearest tack shop the liveryman blades are more expensive than the wolseley blades! only by a few pounds but still more.
i think your best bet would be to just browse online and compare prices, though when i was looking once postage was added they actually worked out the same amount as in a shop!
i would maybe suggest to the person who borrowed your clippers to atleast put something towards them. these things happen tho, ive very nearly dropped mine loads of times when horse has decided to spin around!

I get my blades from ukclippers.com bought 2 pairs of wolseley A2 blades for £60 recently from there including P+P

I don't think you should even think about buying only one of the pair of blades cos I suspect they bed in to match each other, so you need to have a pair. And I agree you should make the people who broke them buy the new ones!
