Ok, so they're Tamaskans, not wolves!

I decided to take Tamriel to London with my friend and her two Tamaskans yesterday. Tam can be nervous of people, but with her bombproof two, I figured she'd be fine as she gets confidence from other dogs.

I've taken her to Milton Keynes centre and Bedford too and she was great, so I needed to up my game. Our partnership is all about improving and challenging ourselves :D

I drove down to D's house, then we got the overground, then changed to the underground. I was really unsure about how she'd take that, but she aced it! I kept her firmly inbetween my legs and that seemed to help.
We met a friend at Marble Arch, and wandered around Hyde Park for a bit. Tam loved all the birds and soo wanted to go off lead and cause havoc :P
After that we went to the Shake Shack in Covent Garden, which allows dogs and even has a doggie menu! We were able to sit by the glass sides and the people walking past must have thought it was a zoo :P so many people took pictures and we were thrilled they were getting so much attention! The staff were amazing and even brought us our food and re-fills, as it's usually a self serve type deal, but since we had 3 big dogs with us, they didn't want to move them. So lovely!

Then, we headed over to the Embankment, as it's busy, but nice and wide with space to get away if we need to. D suggested we go on a boat, I thought she was joking, until she made a bee-line for the ticket office! To my surprise, dogs were allowed on :O
We waited a short time, then boarded. Tam took it all in her stride and I actually think she enjoyed feeling the wind in her fur!

After that we wandered for a bit longer and got a little caught up in rush hour, which wasn't pleasant but all the dogs were very good.
We found ourselves at St. Pauls and got some photos and to our surprise, saw a lady we'd seen earlier, who just had to come and see the dogs again :D Everyone was so lovely!
The tube home was really crowded and hot, but the dogs were all very good, Tam just sat between my legs again. The overground was better and we could all relax a little :)

On a side note, I always forget Tamriel is a big dog, since she's the smallest of her breed! When I'm alone everyone comments on how big she is, but when I'm with D's, she looks absolutely tiny!!

Now, for photos!

Thanks guys :D
She did so well, considering I couldn't even walk her down our small-town highstreet a few months ago! She'd be lunging and growling :O
She still doesn't like being approached unexpectedly or touched on the head, but she is fine in crowds now :D I'm so pleased with how she's improving :)

Brilliant photos. What a fantastic day. All the dogs are beautiful and no wonder they caused a stir and that you were so proud! I would imagine Central London must be quite daunting for even the most bombproof of dogs so it sounds like you have come such a long way with Tam - well done.

I remember seeing a brilliant video when a friend (who was the training/breeding manager at the Met Police Dog Kennels at Keston) took some puppy recruits and their handlers up to Buckingham Palace for the day and all the tourists were wanting photos with them etc. Great socialisation :)

Laughs quietly at how everything is relative - I'm horrified if people have dogs that won't behave in Zone 1 but slightly cautious of mine getting lost in more rural places!
