I don't think anyone is saying that what they're doing is easy but from what they're saying in the commentary this is the standard format of the riding section of MP, i.e. unknown horse, limited time and practise jumps. It shouldn't come as a surprise, so why isn't jumping/ riding as many different horses as possible not included as part of their training? My ability to ride different horses (aside from my overall riding ability) well was certainly higher when I was taking lessons during Uni, normally on different horses each week than now when I mainly just ride my mare.But without knowing the standard of World MP events, this could be the best they ever ride. I bet their World Champs arn't held in the same way WEG is organised for a start.
So many armchair critics about a sport most people don't really know that much about...
