Wonder what this one's story is?

do they have a website i wonder where they also advertise horses? At a guess, if they do and this one is not on there, then there is a reason they wont sell through their own site. See what i mean or am i rambling? lol

No, no, I wholeheartedly agree. Just feel sorry for the poor girl (boy?) At that price she's likely to be purchased by someone who mightn't provide her the best home for her circumstances.

I bought a youngster cheap from a stud once. He was tucked in around the back, out of the way. Turned out he had a parrot mouth. I bought him for a song and he turned out to be a beautiful and very talented horse, who also won a lot in the show-ring dispite his parrot mouth conformation. He was a top quality palomino, very similar to Moonshine Vision who we showed alongside at the time when they were both babies. That was many moons ago now

If Darco and girl... mares are notorious for not being rideable.

Boys sell for far more than that. So must be something fairly major to be that low with Darco imo.

Very much temperament.

Ours is a big soft cow 99% of the time. Loves her cuddles. But will go psycho in a split second, last for a few seconds and back to normal as if nothings happened. No normal wind up or wind down, just slick of a switch and absolutely fine seconds after.

Never tried riding as is a broodie, but notorious for being too danerous to bother. That being said I've seen a couple ridden over the years.

Physically the movement and conformation are impeccable.

TBH, yours sounds exactly like my WBxTB mare. She's tricky because she can switch so dramatically and so suddenly. She's certainly no amatuers horse, which in itself is a pain in the backside as I have to be so careful if ever I need someone other than myself handle her.

I noticed that advert too and thought it was rather odd the was no full pic of it if selling as a show jumper.

Spyda is that horse third from left in your sig a silver dapple?

He was a Rocky Mountain Horse, well pony. Called 'Trigger'. Their breed society (in USA) refer to his colour as chocolate dapple with flaxen mane/tail. Can't really see from that photo but he was quite dapply all over, especially when he was young. :)

She's a funny thing. Amazing broodie and great herd leader. Biggest sulk with people I know. Hates being ignored, definite daddys girl. She'll always come to me if called, but second OH is in the field she wants his affection.

Darcos tend to be that mares are broodies and boys showjumpers if wb, eventers if wb x tb.

Her youngsters have all been stunning to watch play, always thinking, and feet exactly where they are intended to go. Boys such a lovely nature, very laid back and would do anything for you.

Would love to see a bigger pic :)

We have a mare by Orlando (Heartbreaker/Darco). She has a fab temperament and was very ridable, although could be strong and gobby at times. She is currently unridable though due to gastric ulcers. It took a long time to diagnose them, and three equine hospitals. Once they were treated she was easily ridable again. But unfortunately, they are back again. :(
