I am such a proud mum

today my first ever homebred had his first ever rider and he was a star! He has been well prepped with saddle, long lines etc for the last year, and the last few weeks I've been leaning over him from the mounting block and getting him used to someone being above him. Today my weekend groom (whose mum is an HHOer) sat on him, and he was a complete angel - couldn't have been more laid back unless he was lying down! He is still entire, and his his stallion grading in two months time, but tbh no one could guess he was entire. He takes after his dad, who also had a laid back temprement. I'm now looking forward to light hacking over the winter with him and bringing him on properly in the new year. He is such a special little horse, and his first foal has been a complete stunner that sold within 24hrs of being advertised. I am currently on cloud nine, so please forgive the boastful post

He's out of the mare in the middle of my sig (Ayemkay Evin Star) who is TBxID, by Mars (DWB) who was bred by the Queen. He currently stands about 15hh although looks smaller in the pics. I am hoping to find a small rider for him to do some BSJA or eventing with him - tbh he would probably measure as a pony so could do jnrs. He's never been a problem taking to any of the tack, long lines etc - he is so chilled. He's done a fair bit of in hand showing and going out and about, long lining on roads etc (seen coaches, tractors, combines) and just isn't phased by anything. He's loose jumping at the moment in preparation for his grading, and pops three foot quite easily, with about a foot to spare.
