Firstly hello and well done to Jo C who I bumped into yesterday at Harold's park
Well we started the say off a bit disastarous as my navigation took us on a bit of a wild goose chase and we got stuck in a small road in the car and trailer and on trying to do a turn to get out I hadn't noticed a low metal post and drove my wheel right into it and it got caught under my car
We thought we were stuck for good! I pulled the bumper off too! After 15 mins of laughing...then near crying and panic, my friend and I managed to yank it from under my very crumpled wheel area and do a 1000 point turn to get free
Ok so we got there...eventually! My friend rode first and then we had to wait 1hr 45 for my classes. Louis had got very tired and bored by then and was a little hard to warm up for the novice...a bit tense and lazy. He went average for the novice test but I was a little angry with him as he wasn't very willing to cooperate! Well we changed into his double bridle and warmed up for the elementary and he really started working! He was such a little star and although he was clearly feeling tired in the test he worked his little socks off and gave me everything he could. It was only his second elementary so I wasn't expecting too much...but oh my god....he came second
I was so pleased with him! He was so much more consistent and strong in the bridle and really really started pushing behind.
the scary thing is it's novice open from now on an if I want to qualifier for the novice regionals it will have to be in the open section!
