I thought you'd died as I hadn't seen mention of any Cleveland Bays for a while!

Do you want to hear about the most gorgeous CB that we're going to buy for my OH to hunt (eventually)? Only thing is he's.........................(whispers) NOT bay!

He's not been advertised, but the breeder who I've had my two part-breds from had him in the field and I fell in luuuuuurve! He's liver chestnut, and whilst I'm not a fan of ginger horses, I had to make an exception in his case as he is so cute!

My first stallion 20 years ago was a cleveland bay. He was the sweetest most gentle horse you could wish to own.
He was 18 when I had him and a friend came to stay and decide she would lunge him, we decided he must have been ridden as he had white marks on his withers. Anyway she put all the tack on him and decide that he was being so good she'd ride him around the field. To get to the field she had to pass an in season mare. Off she trundled, had a little trot, came back and said he's not very responsive to the leg and his steerings a bit wonky.

Anyway it turned out he'd never been ridden in his life, what a testament to such a lovely old horse!

Would be a bit difficult as he is no longer with us, having gone to the great never ending pasture in the sky! Lindon Scholar, who is there as licensed but not premium, is a Bantry Bere offspring and will be being put forward for a premium shortly. I know this because my partner bred him at Lincoln University.
