I'm trialling LWP under a thin shavings bed with shavings banks..... on day 4 and I am totally hooked. I haven't wet the pellets after laying, I just put two bags down dry and then shavings on top. My usually disgusting horse's bed is still white rather than the usual orange. The only thing i'm finding is that because the shavings are so white i'm being really OCD about picking up every single poo nugget - before i wasn't fussed because the rest of his bed looked so awful, didnt seem much point, but now it is so much cleaner its brilliant. I'm not sure i'd go for a whole pellet bed, as i don't like the idea of watering them, but as long as this method is working for me i'll be sticking with wood pellets!
