Where are you all getting decent pellets from this year? I was planning on ordering from 5 Star but know they are understandably having problems getting orders out so presume they are not taking orders currently.
Who is next best?

What would anyone think of this?

(if the link works!) I think its probably similar to Cushion bed type stuff?

Yay or nay?

Looks like the stuff I use to mix with my pellets. Cheap and not amazing quality, very dusty. I might be totally wrong!

I'm getting Verdo pellets for £4.50 a bag from a local supplier in Herts. I just love them but I have been totally soaking them over the dry hot weeks.

Okay, I ordered a pallet last year of Verdo pellets but they were in fuel bags and I can never make out the exact difference as in if its just a monetary difference due to VAT rates of if the actual pellet is different.
I wasn't overly pleased with them, I found they discoloured almost instantly and my bed looked grubby quickly.
Di no one else think this?

I just looked on LWP and see the ones they stock are Balcas Brites not verdo at all!
How do these compare with others?

I also looked on their FAQ and they actually openly say the pellets are the total same quality wise. :)

My friend and I use white horse wood pellets. The more you get the cheaper it is. We got a half pallet load last year as we changed beds mid winter. But we are going to get a pallet or maybe two before winter sets in

I've used aqua max before now and apart from the price there was no difference in the quality.

You can order 5 star direct from Eden (who supplied them for five star already) there's a thread on news about it. If you prefer them u can still have them (that's what I'll be doing, I didn't like verdo and LWP are ok but still not as good in my opinion from having a pallet of both last year).

Colour doesn't bother me, I just found after trying all 3 that verdo were the least absorbent and I used more, especially with a very wet mare. I tried different ways of doing the bed. Then tried five star and used 1/2 the amount and has a nicer bed. Sometimes I think it depends on the horse as well and their stable habits.

I use LWP and really rate them, I've heard bad reviews but honestly can't fault them. I do care about the colour of my bed, I just don't like it looking like it's grubby. The Balcas Brites are good for this but I do a full muck out everyday to keep it looking good

I seriously could not care less what colour they are! I'm after absorbent which is what I get. Seriously, the colour bothers you?!

Yes is does, Im not ashamed of it either!

I did email Eden and try to find out how much a pallet would cost but have had no reply, so figured maybe they only sell to companies- Is this not the case?
Maybe I'll give them a call, if not LWP it is.
