Thank you 9tails just looking at something else with 15 litres and it mentions 10kg so these are actually really good value - plus by chance I pass one of their shops on the way to horses happy days!

They were definitely a bit lighter than 10kg, but they puffed up a lot more than Corley and were a yellower cleaner colour. I buy 10 bags each time I go in, it feels less painful than £270 in one go and a day to oversee the delivery.

Why are the verdo ones not so good? They are the ones my local supplier has. What sort of price do you pay per bag? Do you buy by pallet load? ANY good suppliers in leamington rugby area warwickshire? Thanks.

Most suppliers will deliver a pallet or half a pallet load nationwide. The verdo were no where near as absorbent.

Straw pellets every time - less dusty and more absorbent than wood pellets - we have been using them for 2 years

They're dark and not very absorbent. I was most disappointed when a fellow livery offered me Verdo after lending her a couple of my bags, she got the hump when I requested cash instead. But there's no point in using an inferior product and mucking up my well established bed.

Agree with 9tails! I used 5* then when I ran out a local feed store had verdo so after having a nice white clean bed all winter I stupidly tried them instead of splashing out on another pallet at the end of winter- really regretted it and ended up taking the whole lot out for shavings. Will buy decent ones again this winter.
