Woodside Farm XC course (nr Stafford)

Has anybody ridden round it recently? They are holding a hunter trial in a couple of weeks and want to enter but never seen the course. My dilemma is that horse is new to XC and so quite green. Have schooled over the smaller jumps at Eland Lodge the last couple of weekends which has gone well -he just is a bit spooky and needs confidence from me to jump

I just cant decide whether to enter the mini class which is 60cm max (i think thats 2ft!) over a 800m course or do the novice which is 75cm max over a 2400m course. He is fit enough and I would like to do the bigger track but not sure if we will come to grief if the course has some tricky/spooky fences

it's been closed for a while as they didn't get chance to sort the ground out when wet and then it was too dry. they were hoping to sort it last week when we had that rain but don't know if they did. The HT is a week on Saturday but don't think it will be on unless we get some rain as just been told tonight that Stafford RC has been cancelled due to hard and uneven ground. Hacked past the course and it does look really nice, me and sis were going to do the 2' 800m one as not done HT before but I'm out of that now as Pidge is lame
