Has anyone noticed that Woof wear boots aren't what they used to be? I recently replaced my club brushing boots as the previous ones fell to bits (I'd had them a couple of years and the straps detached themselves, should have know then!) with some new ones and I have to say I'm really disappointed with the quality. The neoprene is much thinner and the straps feel really flimsy and cheap. I know they're not the most expensive boots out there, but compared with the cheapy Decathlon brushing boots (which were about £6 less) I bought a while ago, they're awful. Think I'll stick with Decathlon for every day stuff, their boots are surprisingly well made and the materials are really good.

What a shame!

Hi there, we have just seen your thread and are very disappointed to hear that you are not happy with the quality of your Woof Wear Club Brushing Boots. Perhaps you would like to contact Woof Wear direct and either send us images or if you prefer, return the boots to us for inspection. We have not made any modifications to either the design or materials used in these boots, so if you have a pair that you feel are substandard then we would very much like to help! We make many thousands of brushing boots every year but occasionally things do go wrong and sometimes mistakes are made in which case we always want to ensure that we look after our customers. Please feel free to contact the office direct on 01208 265920 or you can email us at woofwear@woofwear.com

What we would like to say to you and anyone else reading this - please give manufacturers a chance to put things right. Sometimes problems can be a simple and genuine mistake at the factory and will therefore only affect that one boot, or pair of boots - but don't let that put you off them forever. If you have a problem with a product - take them back to the retailer you purchased them from in the first instance or if they can't/won't help, contact the manufacturer direct. If we don't know, we can't help and for the sake of a quick email or phone call your problems could be sorted and you could go away happy with your faith restored.

I bought a pair of WoofWear gloves just after Christmas, and one of them has fallen apart. I haven't got the receipt anymore, so don't think the shop where I bought them will exchange or refund them. Could I send them direct to WoofWear?

I have just bought two full sets of boots;

Pro tendon/ fetlock boots and double lock brushing boot set.

Both look very good quality to me, no different to my old ones in that way. Iv always used WW. The tendon boots are better than the old design IMO, seem more padded and fit better.

Also when i had a little problem; that the boots sent out by the supplier were wrong. ww direct where very helpful and sorted the problem out straigt away.

I got front and hind boots for big lad in xxl size , got them at HOYS . After first wear two straps came off on a hind boot, could not take back as bought at a show, so my shoe repair shop re stitched them!! Good as new now, never realised could send back to woof wear direct.

I have always found them to be good quality, and buy woof wear boots for horses and for myself (which are my favourite boots I have ever purchased!!)

Buy one pair of new WW fetlock boots annually for hunting heavy horse. Lightweight, don't absorb water, don't swivel round, don't chafe, just protect. Easy to wash and quick to dry. Have tried more expensive/various makes and now will only buy these as proved to be the best by a long shot and at a sensible price. Usually still enough life in them by end of a very hard season so then use them for general hacking. Great boots.

Working within the equine retail sector myself I can assure you op that woof wear will look into your problem. They are a great company to deal with and very helpful

Useful if WW will help you if you have a problem.

I've had sub standard products from other companies, when have written and informed them of a problem, you never hear anything back. Either that or say take it up with the retailer... Can sometimes be hard to remember when I bought then, where I bought them from and I don't have the recipet any more!

To be fair wench decent retailers will help you out as well. I get customers coming back without receipts and lets face it nobody can keep track off them all, and if u brought anything else with the said product/know rough time said item was brought etc I have been known to reprint receipts to help customers.( every sale is logged on a database) If the item has a genuine problem I'm more than willing to help find the receipt on our system and help the customer. A little thing but goes a long way to getting the repeat business we get. It also helps me to see what customers are taking the mickey ;) or returning said item not even brought from us!
