Has anyone tried the woofwear yard boots before or have a suggestion of something simillar?

Brilllant things. I hammer mine and have to replace them every 6 months or so, but they are the best thing ever. They are cheap enough.

Yeah either those or the longer ones! I don't want to spend that much which is why I liked the look of the woofwear ones as I already have a pair of normal leather riding boots which I'm ruining by mucking out!

I got the long mucker boot type ones off ebay not woofwear brand but look the same. Really pleased with them for the price I paid I don't expect them to last forever but they are very warm fleece lined and holding up in this horrendously wet weather and mud. I ride in mine too. They arent 100% waterproof, esp if hosing them off, but I wear waterproof socks anyway so dont notice too much. If you're not wading through knee high puddles they are fine

I just got some of the all-rubber ones (without the fabric top) in a sale. They seem great - remarkably comfortable. Ideally I want to use them for riding when it's muddy because my leather boots are getting hammered. Not sure if the sole is a bit too aggressive for riding in though.

I've got those ones in the picture above. The foot part is comfy enough but you can't do the velcro tight enough (most muckers have a metal loop so you have some purchase).

That's my reasoning for getting a pair I can see some of the other liveries visibly flinch when they see me walk through the bog that the yard is at this time of year in my leather boots!

Probably not these exact ones but something similar if you just look up 'long mucker boots' theres loads and they look exactly the same as the more expensive ones tbh
Mine are pretty roomy but im size 6.5 and get a 7

I have got that exact pair... I loved the first ones so much...soooo comfy for riding & dog walking. Replaced them when they eventually wore out after very heavy use, & the velcro has gone on the LH one pretty much straight away. I have carefully ensured that there is no hay etc stuck to it & I have to press it down really hard to make it stick. I also have narrow ankles & find that they will do up tight enough, but I wear them over 2 pairs of socks & the 2nd pair is thick ski socks.

I went through three knee high pairs over two years. I found them much too warm for summer, but winter and autumn they were fantastic. I did find that the soles went a little squeaky and I had issue with one pair where the seam at the heel went, but Sugru fixed it well enough for the season. They were cheap enough and comfortable enough that I didn't mind.

I’ve got those and they are used every day - comfy and dry but I prefer the older version which has a metal loop for the Velcro so was easier to do up properly

I bought the long version when they first came out. They were wonderfully comfy and warm, but leaked around the seams. It took days to dry them out in a warm room, so gave up and when back to traditional wellies. They would have been fine if I'd never entered a muddy field or walked across long wet grass.

I only expect them to be waterproof up to the top of the moulded rubber part? I don’t think that they are advertised as fully waterproof. I’d go to full height wellies if I needed to.
I’ve just come in with dry feet after the usual morning chores on a very wet day, inc poo picking a wet field, skipping out stables, and tramping the muck down after borrowing it high up on the muck heap.
Fingers crossed, no Velcro issues. This pair are fairly new.
Leather is probably more breathable etc, but IME it absorbs the smell of horse wee and then stinks. Made the mistake of taking my multipurpose leather walking boots on holiday once in the motorhome, where despite being thoroughly cleaned and reproofed beforehand, the smell of horse wafting from them was unmistakable...

I think that only wellies will do if it’s really deep mud and water. I have Dunlops.

i have these exact ones. Very warm and waterproof and the velcro works for me. Treads give very good grip. BUT the tread also traps the mud and flicks it up the back of my leg so my trousers get v muddy if walking across a muddy field. Great for use in the yard though.

I took the plunge and bought them! I have size 4 feet so got child size and they're so nice, fluffy on the inside and feel really secure on my feet!

I bought boots very similar to Dubarrys in Keith Scarrott Shoes in Cheltenham. I have their long ones and the faux fur top ones. I got my daughter the navy ones. I paid full price but they are now in the sale for only 69 pounds. They are 100% waterproof - ive got a pic somewhere of me stood in the stream. They are long but I know they do a shorter 3/4 version.
In a previous life (when I had money!) ive had Dubarrys but I much prefer these from Keith Scarrott.
