Woohoo I finally rode today!

Finally the snow has disappeared from the outdoor arena and it has drained really well! Fields are full of little lakes so could only turnout for not quite 2hrs. Lunged the beast to get all her bucking and broncing out of her. Then when she was a little reluctant to make transitions from trot to canter I thought she'd be safe enough to sit on.

And she only took off down the arena with me once when I asked for canter! Going to hack out tomorrow.

Has everyone managed to ride now?

Lunged my boy today. Hadn't ridden since 1st jan. He was great, and as the school is like a lake will go for a very slow (hopefully)hack tomorrow as forecast is good!!

Rode in arena and it was so good to be riding again, have really missed it....mare was good, just afew bucks in canter which was my fault for not lunging first....i m going to hack tomorrow too

Rode for the first time since Jan 2nd, even with hardly any turnout, the hiphopcob was a saint - this is when I thank the lord for his cobbiness - no need to lunge, just hop on board and tootle...ahhh, but god knows how my inner thighs will feel in the morning!

i got straight on, and them almost straight back off, but thru a gritted toothed 5 mins and we were okay. had 5 mins of solid humping and back arching and snakey head, then he was an angel!!!!!x
