So pleased today, after 4 weeks off with my injury, I finally got back in the saddle!
Ellis bucked me off and injured my shoulder pretty bad. It's def the worst riding related injury I've had, and was expecting to feel a bit 'nervy'. Mike had agreed to lunge me, but after tacking him up, I just thought 'sod it!' and jumped on. Just had a little walk around, nothing spectacular, but am quite pleased with myself. Yes the nerves kicked in a bit, just kept thinking about how much it would hurt if I fell off again

Will get back on tomorrow and work up slowly. Ellis did get a work out though - Mike jumped on and put him through his paces for me. I'd be lost without all this help

Would love to hear how people deal with nerves after an accident.

Well done you, it really takes nerve to get back on but you will gain in confidence every time you get on again.
I truelly lost my nerve when my baby horse bronced me off and broke my back, (he had Kissing spine) I have another horse who is also a git to ride but he doesn't scare me and he's helped me get back to the rider I was before my accident on Wills.

Good luck with the wedding!

Well done you

It's not easy getting youR confidence back after a nasty fall. BeEn there, done it, got the T Shirt.

Don't do too much too soon and you'll soon have your confidence back 100%

I built my confidence up by taking things at a speed I was comfortable with, and if that meant 5 minutes of walking aimlessly around the school and them untacking, so be it! Don't let others pressurise you, try to enjoy everything you do!
