So my mares front shoes came off about october ish, she never had back shoes so decided to take the plunge.
At first she was fine on all surfaces - school/tarmac/lanes, but on real stoney bits she would pick her way through or on a big stone she would trip a bit.
Anyway gradually over the winter Iv been getting her out and about on different surfaces and she can now go up the lane over stones etc and doesnt bat an eyelid!
Also today we went through a car park coming down off the moor which is completely gravel and stones, and she walked right through the car park instead of round the edge on the grass
