Woolacombe beach

I’ve seen lorries (not from riding schools) unload in Marine Drive car park though it was out of season. When we did it we went from Woolacombe Stables (Mullacott also do /did beach rides) though I believe there were strict regulations back then re times/tides. Parkin Estates rule the roost, but the tourist information place on the Esplanade would probably know.

I did enquire of Parkin Estates if we could do an organised beach ride at Woolacombe, a couple of years ago. The answer was no, the only people who have a permit to ride on the beach are Woolacombe Riding Stables. This is because they had a few random people riding on the beach and being completely out of control so PE now say no to all.
However, if you park on Marine Drive car park you would be able to ride in the sand dunes behind the beach as some of that is an official bridleway.
Just along the coast is Crow Point and you can ride there. You'd need to go on the toll road towards Braunton Burrows but there's plenty of space to park along there. Crow Point is actually better for riding as it's not so busy with families having a beach day.
