Had my laminitic 24year old at his new home for 6 months now. It is such a great place. He was out all the time in the summer, in at night now and so far he is laminitis clear. Pray that continues. The yard owner is brilliant, the others are fab and the hacking is just wonderful. I threw the muzzle away in the back of the shed and I am letting him be a normal horse. He is so content. He is in with other horses now.He had a very miserable life in the old place. I even took him to a show this summer and he won Veteran. I was so low in February that I considered having him PTS. Then I moved!! So folk with lami struck horses please dont give up! He really did suffer at the old place with its hideous fertilised grass. Hardmuir grass has never had any fertiliser on it.
