Just to let you know, Hen is now back from the specialist vets, it turned out he had a slipped disc, which was operated on on Friday. We picked him up today, he's much happier and currently asking his dad to take him to the pub (will NOT be happening). It's absolutely wonderful to have him home again. Total bill £3,422 - so that'll be an extremely modest Christmas this year then in our house...

Penny!!!! Just seen this and what a lovely lovely brave pup!!!!Look at that face! I am so happy for you to have him back but also massively sympathetic for the big fat vets bill!!! Petplan forked out around £20,000 for our boy in 5 years but our largest one off was around £2500. If it cheers you up though I think we had the fastest speed for running up £1000 bill...Just under 1 hour! lol! for TRAPPED WIND! (was suspected bloat and can be lethal for a giant breed) Hubby was marvelling how we can pay £1000 for our dog to pass wind!
Anyway pm me and keep me informed and can't wait to Hen all better and running around giving you grief and running you ragged!
