Murphy moved to a new yard on Saturday. He loaded and travelled really well, and has settled in nicely. He hasn't caused any trouble out in the field, and is being friendly to everyone who comes to say hello to him.

I rode him yesterday - I've only ridden once in the last 2 weeks and that was a hack, so haven't done any cantering for 2 whole weeks. I took him in the school, he had a neigh but settled down and we walked, trotted and cantered and he was fab! We then went in the other school and walked, trotted and cantered in that one, and did some trotting poles. He was such a good boy

This evening I rode again, he was completely settled in the school, and had great fun cantering through a puddle and soaking me in the process

I could see a little jump, perfect Bex and Murphy size, set up in the other school, and I decided now was as good a time as any to give it a go (we have only just started jumping)...so off we went and Murphy was an absolute star. He popped over it, we did it from trot and from canter, and both towards and away from the gate. I am soooo proud of how good he's being, and I can honestly say he is the best pony in the world ever.

Sorry...uber self indulgent post but I am so happy!

Oh hun I am so pleased for you, sounds like Murphy has settled in already! Good for you at having a go at the jump, think I will wait for the summer to continue that challenge. Have you any pics of Murphy in his new home?

Awww...I'm so glad it's going well! The surface makes loads of difference, doesn't it? He looks like he's enjoying himself and it sounds like your YO's are really nice too

PS...I might have to purchase a copy of the mag myself
