after a sh**e schooling sesh with poppy poo (well not too bad for not being schooled for over 2 years ) i found a nest tht some of the chicken had made in my stable with 10 eggs in it!!!!!!! 2 of the hens have made my stable their new home, good job abby doesnt mind farmer says i can have whatever eggs they lay in my stable

is there a cockeral around? are the hens sitting on them? you might have babies (approx 24 days?) if the hens are broody and sitting on them. otherwise some lovely ommlettes. i would date the eggs (marker pen when hen not sitting)tomorrow and see if hens are sitting on them. i do a lot of hatching with import eggs, which have been chilled and tranported then hatch in incubator 21 days, then into hatcher for 3 to 4 days, broody hens can be quite nasty and protective of eggs. you might have some lovely fluffy ones soon and require a different stable or a hen house!
