Well the Pelham worked wonders!! I completely forgot that he buried his head and he didnt do it once!! I have my old pony back
As for xc - WOW!!!!!
Went to Ascott-Under-Wychwood (Crown Farm) and jumped round the course, some PN and some intro. Sparky did not stop once and we really made progress! Started of doing his little shuffle shuffle jump but as we did this (he did it but like normal, jumping with no trouble) the instructor said i was not because he was green, but because I had got used to it and it is now like our confort zone to get in and close. She said if I asked, he would take a long one etc as he looked like he trusted me! So got to a flowerbed thing, which was about PN height, saw a long stride, asked for it and din't think he would take it but he did and my gosh did he fly from then on!
It was such a great session and he didn't stop once, which for us is a great success! All kind of fences, ditches, water you name it, we jumped it!
What topped it off, was the instructor said that I was a very tidy rider, my leg was stableand in a perfect position the majoiry of the time and that Sparky was a super, tallented pony who had trust in me
Sorry for such a self indulgent post
No pics although they would have been great, had a smile all the way round! Going SJing at some professionals yard so hope that is as successful!
xx
